There was a season of my life where my credit card told a very honest story.
Thousands of dollars in trainings. Certifications. Business courses. Marketing programs. Spiritual intensives. Yoga upgrades.
If learning alone created success, I would have been unstoppable. And yet… I was still stuck. Not because I wasn’t capable. But because I wasn’t implementing what I learned.
The Lie I Told Myself
I told myself I was “investing in growth.” And I was. But if I’m honest? I was also hiding.
Every new certification felt productive. Every new course gave me a hit of clarity. Every new workbook made me feel like I was moving forward. But the moment the course ended? I didn’t take action. Not fully. Not consistently. Not sustainably. most of the time not at all.
And here’s why: not laziness. Not lack of discipline. Confusion. Overwhelm. And no real accountability.
Information Wasn’t My Problem
I had information.
What I didn’t have was:
- Someone to tell me what to focus on.
- Someone to tell me what NOT to focus on.
- Someone to look at my business and say, “Start here. Ignore the rest.”
Information wasn’t my problem. Implementation was.
I was swimming in content. But I had no container.
Courses give you content. Rooms give you clarity and accountability. That distinction changed my life.
The Moment Brett Challenged Me
There was a turning point. My mentor and friend, Brett Larkin, challenged me in a way no course ever had. Not with more information. With her so wise advice during a mastermind CALL.
She didn’t say, “Go learn more.” She said, “Why aren’t you implementing what you already know?”
And that question hit. Because the truth was uncomfortable: I wasn’t stuck because I lacked knowledge. I was stuck because I was scattered. I was consuming faster than I was integrating. I was constantly signing up for the next "THING".
We Do This More Than We Admit
If you’re a yoga teacher or coach building a business, this may feel familiar.
You finish a training. You feel inspired. You outline a plan. And then… you buy another program. You tweak the website again. You rework your niche. You re-record your intro video. You shift direction. Again and AGAIN.

Learning without integration creates:
- Mental clutter
- Identity confusion
- Inconsistent revenue
- Chronic self-doubt
- A loop of “almost there”
You don’t feel behind. You feel perpetually mid-process. That was me: capable, called, educated… but scattered.
What Changed
When Brett challenged me, I stopped collecting. And I started choosing. One offer. One pathway. One message. One system. And I committed to integrating what I already knew.
That’s when everything shifted. Not because I became more qualified. Because I became more focused

Courses are powerful. But they assume self-regulation and self-direction.
